Vein Laser Treatment

Vascular lesions can be present from birth, develop with age or as the result of sun damage.

They occur when small capillaries become dilated and can give an appearance of "spider veins" or red spots.

In New Leaf Cosmetic Clinic, we use GentleMax Pro dual wavelength LASER for treating facial teleangiectasia, red nasal veins, small leg veins and haemangiomas.

How many treatments will I need?

A satisfactory result can be seen after only a single treatment, but some people may need 2-3 treatments with maintenance treatments every 6-12 months.

Pre -treatment instructions

Avoid the sun 2 -4 days prior to treatment, recently tanned skin cannot be treated. If you have a history of cold sores, you may need antiviral treatment.

Post treatment instructions

You will experience a burning sensation that will last anything from a couple of hours to 24 hours. You are allowed to apply cold compresses or take paracetamol if needed. Sometimes, small blisters may appear, let them heal on their own.

Your veins may appear bruised or darker following treatment. The discoloration will fade over the next few weeks. Avoid strenuous exercise or prolonged standing for 24 hours after having leg veins treated. Avoid steam rooms, saunas or hot spas for several days after the treatment .
