Clinical Micro Needling

The Dermapen™ is a revolutionary device that gently punctures the skin with tiny medical grade needles. This controlled micro injury to the skin induces collagen production and delivers impressive results in skin rejuvenation and treating acne and acne scarring, reducing pore size, and minimising fine lines and wrinkles.

Usually we recommend 4-6 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.

Is the treatment safe and does it hurt?
For minimum needle depths Dermapen™ Treatments are painless.  Applying topical anaesthetic cream 30 -45 mins before treatment will make the treatment virtually pain free.

What's the 'down time' associated with the treatment?
Generally none, but you may experience facial redness for 12-24 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.

What areas of the body can be treated?
Common areas are the face, neck and decolletage but other areas of the body can also be treated.

How many treatments will I need?
Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results occur after 4 to 6 treatments (spaced 4-6 weeks apart). Your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments, especially when combined with the recommended post treatment care.​ Some people, rarely, may experience some swelling.

For a more enhanced result we usually recommend to add-on our LED light treatment. This particular combination is a very popular treatment at our clinic.

Post care instructions

Redness will settle and it will be replaced with tight, dry, peeling skin, do not pick and scratch. Avoid use of scrubs and exfoliants for 5 days. You can use your usual moisturiser, but avoid active Ingredients. Protect the treated skin with SPF 30+ and it is important to maintain good skin care routine.
