Tightening and Contouring
In New Leaf Cosmetic Clinic, we use the Candela Medical eTwo Sublime device.

We use a radiofrequency technology (RF) to tighten skin and contour the face and body. The directed heating to the dermis shrinks aged collagen fibres and stimulates new collagen formation. This effectively tightens the skin, reduces “sagging” and minimizes mild to moderate wrinkles.

The areas we see that respond best to RF are around the eyes, cheeks, neck and close to the mouth (nasolabial folds). It is used to treat conditions such as ‘jowling’.

The Sublime treatment can also be used as a prevention strategy for skin wrinkling and “sagging” during the early stages of ageing.
The treatment can be combined with other skin rejuvenation treatments at New Leaf Cosmetic Clinic, such as Fractional RF Resurfacing or Clinical Micro-needling (Dermapen treatment).
This treatment also works exceptionally well with our variety of Facial treatments.

FAQs
Is the treatment safe and does it hurt?
RF is one of the safest cosmetic treatments offered because it is non-invasive and works by heating the deeper layers of the skin, keeping the outer layers intact.
This treatment is suitable for any skin type, including darker skin types. Most of our clientele return to normal activities immediately after the treatment.

Is there any downtime associated with the treatment?
RF skin tightening and contouring is a non-invasive treatment and there is no downtime associated with this procedure.
On the rare occasion, some clients experience side effects, such as prolonged erythema (redness) for 1-2 days, discolouration of the treated area and superficial blistering of the skin. This will typically resolve in a few days.
What areas of the body can be treated?
Any area can be treated, but we recommend this treatment for the cheeks, neck, around the mouth and eyes where “sagging” and wrinkling generally occur.

How many treatments will I need?
Although you will likely see noticeable improvement in your skin after your first treatment, most people see an ongoing and cumulative improvement over the course of 3-5 treatments with 2-6 weeks between treatments.

We recommend this treatment as a preventative strategy for skin wrinkling and “sagging” just prior, or during the early stages of ageing. Ongoing treatments every 2-6 weeks is advised to achieve optimal results.
